Wings to Work
Rebuilding lives through safe shelter and career launch. We are currently seeking donors to fund a targeted cohort of three women survivors in Whatcom County — giving each the safety, meals, and career support she needs to reclaim her future.
Every woman survivor in Whatcom County has the safety, confidence, and opportunity to re-enter the workforce as a professional.
To bridge the gap between crisis and self-sufficiency by providing extended, trauma-informed shelter and robust employment support for women rebuilding their lives.
A safe place — and a path forward.
Women escaping domestic violence face an impossible choice: remain unsafe, or leave and risk homelessness. Most shelters have time limits or waiting lists, and local housing is expensive. For a survivor focused on healing and securing employment, a safe, private space and daily essentials are the foundation for a new beginning.
Wings to Work is a targeted project to provide safe, stable housing in local hotels and Airbnbs for three women, combined with a daily per diem for meals, transportation, and intensive job readiness support. Survivors will access résumé clinics, professional clothing, interview preparation, digital skill-building, and a network of supportive employers — all while living in a dignified, trauma-informed environment.
Your investment ensures these women can focus on professional growth and personal stability — creating lasting change for themselves and their families.

Workforce Re-entry & Impact
